This role is within the Housing Strategy and Policy team, responsible for developing the Mayor’s housing policies across various areas including new supply, homelessness, and private rented sector policy. You will lead on policy development and implementation, engaging with stakeholders such as boroughs, housing associations, and government departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, review, and implement housing policies.
* Advise the Deputy Mayor for Housing and the Mayor of London.
* Research housing issues through data analysis, policy review, and legislation interpretation.
* Respond to inquiries from stakeholders including London Assembly members and the media.
* Promote equality and diversity within London’s communities.
Skills and Experience
* Understanding of housing issues and policies.
* Knowledge of the GLA’s commitment to equality and diversity.
* Competencies in research, relationship building, communication, and problem-solving (Level 2 indicators).
