Job Title: Employee Relations Advisor
Location: Ashford & London Bridge (Hybrid) Monday to Friday 3 days in the office 2 days working from home
Contract: Full-time / Ongoing temporary
Role Overview
1. Provide expert Employee Relations advice and support to managers and employees across the business
2. Manage complex ER casework, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies
3. Support a consistent, fair, and legally compliant approach to people management
Key Responsibilities
4. Manage a range of ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, and performance issues
5. Advise managers on employment law, company policies, and best practice
6. Lead on complex and sensitive ER cases, including investigations and hearings
7. Support and coach managers to build confidence in handling ER matters
8. Draft and review ER-related documentation such as investigation reports, outcome letters, and settlement paperwork
9. Support change management activity, including restructures and consultations where required
10. Ensure ER cases are managed consistently and in line with internal policies and legal requirements
11. Maintain accurate case records and provide ER data and insights as required
12. Build effective relationships with stakeholders across both Ashford and London Bridge locations
Skills & Experience Required
13. Proven experience in an Employee Relations Advisor or similar ER-focused role
14. Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice
15. Experience managing complex ER casework independently from start to finish
16. Confident advising and influencing managers at all levels
17. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
18. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
19. Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-site environment
20. CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) desirable
Working Arrangement
21. Hybrid role with regular presence required in Ashford and London Bridge
22. Flexibility to travel between sites as needed
