East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is looking to appoint an FY2 (CT1/2 equivalent) doctor to join an enthusiastic forward-looking Acute Medicine Department at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
This role will be based in our Acute Medical unit and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit which are located side by side.
The Candidate must hold full GMC registration.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this post will be to deliver acute medical care to patients in AMU and Same Day Emergency Care Unit. The post holder will be responsible for participating in the daily ward rounds and the day to day running of the unit, assisted by the Acute Medical Consultants and registrar's. The post holder will gain valuable experience assessing, diagnosing and treating patients in a fast paced environment.
The job is an ideal environment to assist with gaining the knowledge and clinical skills to achieve MRCP. The Candidate must hold full GMC registration.
The post holder will work through an on call rota.

Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent
* MD or equivalent
Registration
* Full Registration with GMC with a licence to practice
Training and experience
* Wide experience in all aspects of General (Internal) Medicine
* Experience in other relevant medical specialities
Administration
* Evidence of participation in staff management
* Management course and/or qualifications
