Job Overview
We are looking for a GP to join our salaried GP workforce alongside providing lifestyle medicine sessions, including group consultations often held in the evenings. We will provide you with the supervision necessary to safely de‑medicate diabetic patients and lead group consultations. You will be trained in facilitating a holistic approach to patient health and well‑being, emphasising movement, sleep, stress management, diet and exercise.
Qualifications & Values
We are seeking dedicated postholders who can display our CARE values – Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. A specialist interest in lifestyle medicine is preferred, although practical experience is not an absolute requirement; you will be mentored by a lead GP in house.
This job is suitable for individuals who are compassionate, patient‑focused and have a real passion for working in a GP super partnership, and who are committed to make real changes to the health care services provided within Primary Care to improve patient care.
Modality Mid‑Sussex Division has a vacancy for a full‑time Salaried GP to assist in the delivery and expansion of our established lifestyle programmes, including the Diabetes Reversal Programme. The overall programme is led by Dr Vipan Bhardwaj FRCGP and Dr Helen Rutherford FRCGP, experts in therapeutic carbohydrate restriction. They are active speakers at lifestyle conferences; their interview on DietDoctor can be seen at https://www.dietdoctor.com/bringing-low-carb-people.
Role & Responsibilities
Your role as a SGP is to work directly with key stakeholders (internal and external) to harmonise ways of working, improve working practices, and enhance patient and staff satisfaction. You will help to deliver and expand lifestyle medicine programmes, de‑medicate diabetic patients, lead group consultations, and facilitate a holistic approach to patient health.
