The Dotcom Transportation team is dedicated to ensuring the seamless operation of dotcom outbound logistics. The Dotcom Transportation Analyst, reporting to the Dotcom Transportation Manager, is responsible for supporting dotcom outbound operations. This role involves coordinating daily carrier logistics, documenting network delays, and collaborating with Distribution Centers to ensure seamless order shipment. The individual will provide strategic support in managing carrier performance through reporting and planning, working closely with both internal stakeholders and dotcom carriers.
Essential Functions of the Job:
* Collaborate with Distribution Centers and Carriers to ensure the seamless operation of dotcom transportation logistics
* Prepare detailed reports for Distribution Centers that delineate trends in volume and the composition of carrier utilization by DC
* Monitor the carrier pickup schedule within Salesforce and the UPS Trailer Reservation System (TRS) to ensure compliance with business requirements
* Participate in monthly meetings with Carriers and Distribution Centers, providing support for issue resolution as necessary
* Maintain an organized log of operational issues related to carriers, including instances of no-shows and tardiness
* Collaborate with carriers and Distribution Centers to create and regularly update Standard Operating Procedures and contact directories
* Distribute monthly performance reports to all carriers, ensuring transparency and accountability
* Assist with Monthly Meetings/Quarterly Business Reviews by extracting and compiling applicable data
* Monitor induction delays daily in Aftership to support carrier operations and Client Promise Delivery Date KPI
* Extract and compile data from 3rd parties (Narvar, GMT, Aftership) as needed
We would love to hear from you if have…
* BA/BS in Supply Chain or related field preferred
* 2+ years of experience in working transportation/logistics specifically with e-commerce retail shipping
* Previous experience with a transportation system and/or ability to quickly develop a proficiency in such systems
* Logistics systems user experience preferred: Aftership, Navar, and Sales Force
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities with ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams
* Skilled in customer service
* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
* MS Office Suite with advanced MS Excel skills
* Must be flexible and adaptive to respond to a fast-paced environment
