Multi-Skilled Engineer (Days Only)
Location: Kent
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (7:00am – 7:00pm) – Days Only
The Role
We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a forward-thinking and highly innovative food manufacturing business based in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a modern, well-invested site with a company that is committed to training, development, and continuous improvement.
Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime, supporting production efficiency, and contributing to ongoing site improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery
* Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
* Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
* Ensure all work is completed in line with food safety and health & safety standards
* Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
About You
* Multi-skilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical experience
* Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment is desirable
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Proactive approach with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
