Ayr Housing Aid Centre SCIO is a registered Charity established in providing Free, Independent Housing Information, Advice, Advocacy and Care Inspectorate regulated Tenure Sustainment Services. Graded as “sector leading” by the Care Inspectorate, our Tenure Sustainment Service has been providing a Crisis Intervention regulated housing support service in South Ayrshire since. This intensive support service works in collaboration with people with complex needs providing specialist wrap around 1-2-1 service user led support where previous engagement attempts from other services have been unsuccessful. You will work as part of the wider AHAC team assisting in fulfilling the Council contract KPIs and achieve AHAC aims and objectives.

We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised individual capable of maintaining our highly graded service. Through holistic approaches and provision, you will empower and support tenants to prevent homelessness and encourage positive outcomes including addressing various challenges associated with poverty, vulnerability and trauma. The successful applicant will proactively engage Service Users to identify and address issues which impact them including housing, income, health to facilitate and promote positive and sustainable solutions and outcomes. Through personalised assistance the Tenure Sustainment Officer will work towards alleviating poverty by providing resources, guidance, and advocacy to enhance financial stability and overall well-being.

Applicants should have a commitment to continuous personal development, have a can-do attitude and experience managing a dedicated caseload. You should have excellent IT and communication skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records, data and statistics input to ensure compliance with contract KPI, SSSC Codes of Practice and Health and Social Care Standards. Use of a car and driving licence is essential. People with lived experience of homelessness and/or poverty are encouraged to apply.
