We seek enthusiastic, qualified Speech and Language Therapists to join our dedicated team, providing high-quality services to adults with communication and swallowing difficulties across Northumberland and North Tyneside.

Main duties
Assess and treat adults with various conditions such as stroke, dementia, neurological, and respiratory issues. This role is suitable for new graduates seeking adult therapy experience. It is part of our Band 5 rotation scheme, offering diverse clinical exposure.

Job responsibilities
Develop and enhance communication, swallowing, and feeding skills through direct intervention, collaboration, and liaison with other professionals and carers to maximize patient potential and societal participation.
Model compassionate leadership to foster a culture of collective leadership within the trust, demonstrating engagement, empowerment, coaching, and teamwork.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree or equivalent
* HCPC Licence to Practice
* Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists membership
* Degree qualification or equivalent
Experience and Knowledge
* Relevant experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level
* Knowledge of assessment tools, policies, therapeutic interventions, clinical governance, and record keeping
* Understanding of other professionals’ roles
Skills
* Valid driving licence and ability to use a personal or leased vehicle for work
