Role
You’ll take the lead on projects that help clients understand, evaluate, and strengthen their strategies for growth and investment. Working closely with colleagues across offices, you’ll contribute to high-profile work that supports place-making, infrastructure delivery, and inclusive development.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role with plenty of opportunity to shape project approaches, mentor junior team members, and support the firm’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
* You’ll work on a wide range of projects across socioeconomics and regeneration, such as:
* Building robust business cases for private sector clients
* Delivering impact assessments for local authorities
* Supporting funding bids and investment strategies
* Conducting cost-benefit analyses and social impact studies
* Leading multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring high-quality project delivery
* Applying HMT Green Book and Magenta Book guidance
* Managing client relationships and stakeholder engagement
* Supporting junior team development and contributing to proposals and business growth
Key Skills
* Proven experience in analytical roles within economic or engineering consultancy settings, with a strong focus on economic impact analysis, business case development, and evaluation
* You’ll bring experience in public or private sector economics, particularly in infrastructure and regeneration, social impact analysis, and applying HMT Green Book and Magenta Book guidance
* Strong project management and communication skills
* The ability to interpret and present complex data clearly
* A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for improving places and policy
* A genuine interest in contributing to a growing Manchester office and a close-knit team
