Job description
Within the 15 hours, the young person would also require provision of self-led learning activities in subjects of their interest, such as; woodwork, fishing and culture. This would be taught alongside Maths and English at appropriate levels.
The ideal tutor will:
1. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Have experience working with young people with SEMH, ADHD and/or behavioural needs
3. Be patient, adaptable, and trauma-informed
4. Use creative and flexible approaches to spark interest and re-engage learning
5. Be able to manage sessions independently within a public library setting

6. Sessions to take place at Cobham Library (KT11 2AE)
7. Face-to-face only (no remote option)
8. 15 hours per week, ideally over 5 days
9. Starting September 2025
10. Ongoing arrangement, potentially long-term
