A client within the Public Sector based in Devon is currently recruiting for a Business Support Officer to join their Parking and Community Services Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority business support or administration environment.
The Role
The key purpose of the role is to provide efficient and effective business support within the Parking team, acting as the key link between customers, services, and the wider Community Services team.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Managing and responding to incoming work requests and allocating to the Parking team.
• Providing administrative support to the Community Services team and lone workers.
• Responding to customer enquiries across multiple communication channels.
• Supporting parking enforcement processes, including correspondence, case tracking, and reporting.
• Producing reports, minutes, and maintaining accurate records.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline administrative processes and improve efficiency.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• Good standard of general education including GCSEs (grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths.
• Strong IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Previous experience in a business support or administrative role.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
• Experience working within the public sector or a local authority.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £16 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £13.50 per hour PAYE).
