Job Title: Fostering – Senior Supervising Social Worker
Location: Flexible working across the North West (Remote, Home & Office-based)
Head Office: Preston, UK (Free Onsite Parking)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (Some evenings and weekends required)
Salary: £34,000 – £40,000 per year (Dependent on experience)
Job Description:
Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Senior Supervising Social Worker to join its client’s Fostering team based in Preston.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will:
* Supervise and support foster parents, including induction and TSDS portfolio completion.
* Conduct Form F assessments and regular support visits.
* Facilitate monthly reflective sessions to enhance carers’ understanding of child development.
* Work directly with children to promote stability and positive outcomes.
* Identify training needs and develop Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
* Conduct unannounced visits, health & safety checks, and risk assessments.
* Present Annual Reviews to the Faith Fostering Panel.
* Prepare reports for LAC reviews and placement stability meetings.
* Respond to referrals, match placements, and liaise with local authorities.
* Participate in recruitment campaigns and assess foster carers’ ongoing suitability.
* Attend monthly reflective supervision with the Registered Manager.
* Ensure full compliance with safeguarding legislation and agency policies.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have:
* A degree in Social Work (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
* Registration with Social Work England (SWE)
* Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience (preferred)
* Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
* Knowledge of systemic and social learning theories
* Proficiency in digital record-keeping and documentation
