Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the neuro rehab team on the Bradley unit for a 1-year fixed-term post.
The post is 37.5 hours a week on the Bradley Unit – a 20-bedded Regional 2b Neurorehabilitation Unit based in Woking Hospital, part of Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Duties
* Manage a complex clinical caseload alongside the MDT (OT/PT/SLT) including accountable clinical assessment, rehabilitation and management from admission through to discharge.
* Provide clinical expertise and support to patients and colleagues, including qualified and non-qualified staff.
* Support acute stroke, neurological and ESD patients and work weekend coverage as required.
* Take part in service development, aligning with national and local strategic plans.
* Participate in supervision, appraisal, and training of junior staff and students.

Person Specification
Essential
* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
* BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy
* Experience in OT assessment and intervention for neurological diagnosis
* Experience in complex discharge planning
* Evidence of teaching and service development initiatives
* Effective communication skills (verbal & written)
* Knowledge of range of treatment approaches and evidence base
* Strong organisational skills; ability to assess and manage risks
Desirable
* Relevant postgraduate training
* Experience of line managing junior staff
* Involvement in special interest groups
* Supervision of students
* In‑depth knowledge of evidence‑based neuro‑rehabilitation OT input
* Skills in assessment, handling and complex discharge planning
