Band 5 Part‑Time (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)
Overview
To participate in the delivery of a patient-focused, pharmacy service for outpatients and inpatients, including ward based services, provided through the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH) pharmacy dispensary as part of acute pharmacy services within NHS Grampian.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage dispensary workload, supervising and training dispensary support staff to enable an efficient, economic and safe dispensing service.
* Participate in training and education of ward staff, implement new policies and procedures and conduct service‑level audits.
* Contribute to the pharmacy department weekend and public holiday rota.
Qualifications
* Qualified, General Pharmaceutical Council registered pharmacy technician with substantial post‑qualification experience.
* Accredited checking technician qualification (required; must be undertaken if not already held).
