About Our Nursery
Our Approach
At Puddleduck Day Nursery in Ascot (St Martins Church) and Puddleduck Preschool in Ascot (Priory Road), we follow a play‑based, child‑led approach inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, encouraging children to explore their interests, build confidence and develop a love of learning. Outdoor learning and Forest School are central to the curriculum, supporting curiosity and wellbeing.
Our Location
Set in the peaceful area of Chavey Down and within the beautiful grounds of Ascot Priory, the nursery spans two nearby locations. Children begin in the day nursery and transition to the preschool as they grow, ensuring continuity of care in a familiar environment. Both sites are easily accessible for local families and commuters.
Our Team
Our experienced and caring team create a warm, home‑from‑home environment where every child feels safe and supported. Strong relationships with families are at the heart of what we do, with individual care tailored to each child’s needs and development.
Facilities
Children benefit from well‑resourced playrooms and access to extensive outdoor spaces, including gardens, woodland areas and Forest School environments. From cosy indoor spaces to natural outdoor learning areas, every environment is designed to inspire exploration and creativity.
Activities
A wide range of enriching activities are offered, including Forest School, cooking, music, sports, gardening and sensory play. These experiences encourage hands‑on learning, creativity and physical development in a fun and engaging way.
Community Outings
Children regularly explore the surrounding grounds and local area, including woodland walks and nature‑based activities. These experiences help build confidence and a strong connection with the outdoors.
