Are you a resilient and proactive individual with a passion for supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive school in Stretford, seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who require additional support to manage their emotions, behaviour, and engagement with learning. The school prides itself on creating a structured and nurturing environment, helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships.
The Role:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage behaviour effectively
Building positive relationships to support trust and engagement
Implementing behaviour support strategies and interventionsThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
A calm, patient, and consistent approach
Strong behaviour management skills
The ability to build rapport and act as a positive role model
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer:
