Reeson Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croydon seeking to appoint a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis starting after Easter.
This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with Autism, helping them access learning, follow routines and develop socially within the Early Years environment.
The school is looking for a patient, nurturing and resilient individual who is confident supporting children with additional needs and can provide consistent, structured support throughout the school day.
The successful candidate will:
* Have experience working within an Early Years or primary school setting
* Have prior experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD)
* Be confident delivering 1:1 support and adapting activities to meet individual needs
* Be comfortable supporting with personal care (essential)
* Demonstrate strong behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
* Have up-to-date safeguarding training or be willing to complete this
