About the Role
We're looking for two proactive and energetic Support Workers to join a specialist SEND school in Romford, catering to students aged 3-19 with severe autism and complex behavioural needs. You'll work closely with experienced SEN staff to deliver tailored support programmes that help pupils access learning and develop essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Build trusting relationships with pupils and respond to their individual needs
* Support pupils with personal care, hygiene, and well-being
* Promote positive behaviour and manage incidents in line with school policies
* Assist pupils in understanding instructions and engaging with learning activities
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
* Support pupils across a range of subjects and developmental stages (EYFS-KS4)
What We're Looking For
* Experience supporting children with SEN and behavioural needs
* Ability to adapt to a variety of duties and changing circumstances
* Strong communication, empathy, and active listening skills
* Confidence in handling sensitive situations with care and professionalism
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
