The Greater London Authority (GLA) is the strategic authority for London, working to implement the policies of the Mayor and support the London Assembly in holding the Mayor to account. We have over 1,300 staff, headquartered at City Hall in the Royal Docks. Our teams work in various directorates, including:
1. Chief Finance Officer’s Directorate: Delivering the GLA’s financial functions.
2. Communities and Skills: Focused on health, education, youth, civil society, sport, skills, employment, and social policy.
3. Good Growth: Covering economic development, culture, creative industries, transport infrastructure, planning, regeneration, environment, and energy.
4. Housing and Land: Managing property, Royal Docks development, housing, investment, and building safety.
5. Resource and Business Improvement: Overseeing digital services, People Function, and facilities.
6. Strategy and Communications: Handling resilience, public affairs, strategic partnerships, external relations, strategy, insight, and intelligence.
The GLA is part of the GLA Group, which includes Transport for London, the London Fire Brigade, and the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime.
