About the Role
As a Health and Safety Support Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Health, Safety and Quality Team. You’ll help ensure that managers and schools meet their health and safety responsibilities, comply with legislation, and adopt best practices. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
You’ll:
1. Assist with gathering information to support monthly reports, quarterly management reviews including audits, and accident/incident/near misses.
2. Support members of the Health, Safety and Quality management team in their management of corporate contracts.
3. Maintain and update health and safety resources, including intranet pages and e-learning content.
4. Support monitoring activities such vibration and noise assessments, and workstation evaluations.
5. Provide advice and guidance to managers and staff across the organisation.
6. Contribute to developing bulletins, legal registers, and training materials.
What We’re Looking For
7. A keen interest in health and safety and a willingness to learn.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.
9. Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
10. IT skills and attention to detail.
11. Ideally, you’ll have or be willing to work towards a NEBOSH Certificate.
