About the Company
My client is an ambitious IT consultancy that provides bespoke services and solutions. With a strong reputation for technical expertise and client care, they are now looking to build their sales function and bring in a dedicated Business Development Executive. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the business's growth alongside the Managing Director.
The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will focus on generating new business opportunities through outreach and relationship-building. Your primary responsibility will be booking high-quality appointments and meetings for the Managing Director, who will then lead on solution sales. This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who has gained some relevant IT industry experience and has the ambition to grow alongside an expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively identify and engage potential clients within target markets
* Book appointments and meetings for the Managing Director to present IT services and solutions
* Manage and maintain accurate records in the company’s CRM system
* Track outreach activity and follow a structured approach to increase conversion rates
* Support the development of sales strategies and campaigns as the business grows
* Build strong relationships with prospects, acting as the first point of contact for the business
* Collaborate closely with the Managing Director to align outreach with business goals
Essential Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in IT sales, ideally within an IT Consultancy or Managed Service Provider, or another IT vertical (hardware, software, SaaS, cloud, telecoms, etc.)
* Proven ability to generate leads, book meetings, and engage prospective clients
* Experience using CRM systems to log, track, and analyse activity
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business development
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Desirable Skills
* Familiarity with IT service offerings and client challenges
* Ambition to progress into a senior sales role as the team expands
