Job Title: Vehicle Health Check Technician
Location: Killingworth, Newcastle, NE12 5US
Salary: £30,000 + bonus – OTE £36,000
Full Time and Permanent – Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
Working hours – 8.30am-5.30pm

Our client is an independent motor repair business that specialises in gearbox repairs, they have been established since 1971.
They are now actively looking to recruit a Vehicle Health Check Technician for their garage in Killingworth.
Job Profile
Our client is seeking a skilled Vehicle Health Check Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and possess a passion for automotive maintenance, however training can be provided.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting vehicle health check inspections and Diagnostics, and ensuring the health and safety of each vehicle on their premises. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in automotive or someone who is looking to do a less physical role in automotive.
Key Responsibilities:
∙ Perform routine vehicle inspections to assess overall health and identify any issues or potential areas of concern.
∙ Conduct maintenance tasks including brakes, tyres, exhausts, filters, and trims.
∙ Use diagnostic equipment and tools to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems accurately.
∙ Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including parts used and work hours logged.
∙ Work alongside team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and aid when needed.
∙ Always adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements
Skills and Experience
∙ Preferably Level 2 qualified in Vehicle Maintenance.
∙ Proven experience in vehicle servicing and maintenance, preferably in a workshop.
∙ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
∙ Ability to work independently and efficiently, while also contributing to a team-oriented environment.
∙ Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
∙ Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
∙ Valid driver's license
