Science Technician – Full-Time Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne Job Type: Full-Time Start Date: March 2026 Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a secondary school to appoint a Science Technician to join their Science Department on a full-time basis from February Half Term. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-organised and proactive individual to support high-quality teaching and learning across the science curriculum. The successful candidate will provide practical and technical support for science lessons, ensuring laboratories are safe, well-prepared and fully resourced for practical activities. The Role As a Science Technician, you will: Prepare and set up equipment, materials and resources for science lessons and practical experiments Support teaching staff during practical sessions when required Clear away equipment and ensure laboratories are left safe and tidy Maintain science laboratories, preparation rooms and storage areas Monitor stock levels, order supplies and keep accurate inventories Ensure the safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals and equipment Follow health & safety regulations and support risk assessment procedures Carry out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has a good standard of education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in Science and Maths Is organised, reliable and able to manage ...
