Our team of domestics keeps buildings clean and tidy and provides a great service to patients, visitors and staff. You may be cleaning a hospital ward, patient bedroom, office areas or corridors.
As a service provider to the NHS, your work supports better patient care and you will need to take pride in what you do and complete tasks to a high standard.

Clean hospital areas such as wards, shared spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, public corridors, and support infection prevention and control.
Main duties of the job
- Carry out a range of cleaning tasks in offices, public areas, shared spaces on wards, bedrooms and bathrooms.
- Dust walls, ceilings, curtain rails; polish furniture; hay dust and polish items; vacuum carpets; mop floors.
- Follow instructions, follow a routine work schedule and carry out duties often without supervision.
- Work respectfully and compassionately with patients and staff, especially in community buildings with mental health illness, learning disabilities or brain injuries.
- Use equipment and cleaning products safely, adhering to COSHH rules and infection prevention and control requirements.
- Complete paperwork such as quality checks and other required documentation.
- Assist with cleaning audits, surveys and inspections.
- Participate in training and stay up to date with company communications.

Person specification
Experience
- Any previous cleaning experience is welcome but you must be willing to learn if you have none.
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to lift and move equipment such as trolleys, polishing equipment and hoovers.
- Adherence to standards, procedures and prioritising instructions.
- Flexibility to adapt to new or different working practices or move between departments.
- Effective communication with colleagues, clinical staff and patients.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
- Capacity to work alongside patients who may display challenging or upsetting behaviour.
- Meet the physical mobility requirements of the job.
Education and Qualifications
- Basic literacy and numeracy to follow safety notices and work with cleaning products.

Pay: Band A (£12.92 per hour). 25% enhancement, time and a quarter, on hours worked during Saturday and Sunday.
