About The Role
The Scam Protection Team is part of the Member Engagement HUB (HUB) and was set up in 2015 to help protect members from pension scams. The team supports Trustees and administrators to meet the Transfer Regulations requirements by engaging with members to ensure a robust process and reduce risk of scams. The HUB sits alongside our Pensions Administration department and benefits from our experience and credentials in this market.
Key Responsibilities
* Onboard new members for the Pension Scams service
* Arrange appointments with members by telephone and email
* Conduct telephone interviews with members to identify those at risk of a pension scam
* Assess information in line with the Code of Good Practice, pensions legislation and internal intelligence
* Produce reports for client teams, Trustees and Compliance review where needed
* Deal with members by phone, email or letter
* Update/maintain records on our primary database ‘ASH’ and other databases
* Ensure member cases are dealt with in accordance with deadlines
* Peer to Peer review where required
* Process cases in line with established Scam Protection Team processes
* Implementation of new clients
* Project and new client work as directed by Team Leader or Manager
* Collaborate with other departments/teams to provide a total service to clients
* Contribute to development and maintenance of HUB processes and system development
* Compliance with business certifications where required
* Undertake other activities of a similar nature as required
Essential Your Profile
* Aiming for an A-level standard
* Ownership, responsibility, and accountability for personal performance
* Strong organizational skills with a methodical, logical approach
* Attention to detail and high standards of work quality
* Ability to develop and implement effective processes for high task volume
* Good planning with adaptability to changing priorities
* Proactive, with drive and commitment to achieving goals

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Quick to learn and adapt to new systems
Qualifications
* Ideally educated to A-Level standard
Desirable
* Knowledge of Pension Scams and potential scam indicators
