The Role – Paint Technician Responsibilities:
As a Paint Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Preparing vehicles and panels for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming
Mixing paints and materials accurately to manufacturer specifications as a skilled Paint Technician
Applying paint finishes using spray equipment to a high-quality, factory-standard finish
Carrying out colour matching and blending to ensure seamless repairs
Rectifying paint defects such as runs, sags, and inclusions
Ensuring all paintwork meets quality control and manufacturer standards expected of a professional Paint Technician
Maintaining a clean and safe paint booth and working environment
Completing job cards and repair documentation accurately
Working closely with MET technicians and panel technicians to deliver completed vehicles on time
Who We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Paint Technician
Strong knowledge of water-based and solvent-based paint systems
Ability to work independently and to deadlines
ATA accreditation or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
