GSL Education are seeking a motivated and dependable Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant schools in the Rotherham area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for working with young people and a desire to gain valuable classroom experience.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classroom activities during teacher absences, ensuring a focused and respectful learning environment. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity in education and supporting pupils to stay engaged with their learning.
Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
* Deliver pre-set lesson materials across a variety of subjects.
* Supervise students and promote positive behaviour.
* Assist pupils in understanding tasks when necessary.
* Record and report any incidents or academic progress.
* Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable.
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
* Ability to adapt to different classrooms and situations.
* A proactive and reliable approach to school support.
* Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
