Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – Day Supply Cover
Location: Romford, London Borough of Havering
Salary: £90–£100 per day (PAYE – no umbrella faff)
Contract: Flexible, Day-to-Day Supply
About the role
Want to make a positive impact without the full-time commitment? We’re looking for caring and adaptable SEND Teaching Assistants to provide day cover across friendly schools in Romford. Each day brings a new opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and help them feel calm, confident, and included.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting pupils with SEND such as Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs
* Working 1:1 or in small groups to build confidence and engagement
* Helping maintain positive classroom routines and emotional wellbeing
* Teaming up with teachers and SENCOs to create supportive, inclusive spaces
What we’re looking for
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in schools or care settings)
* A patient, empathetic approach and strong communication skills
* Confidence adapting to new environments and routines
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s progress and wellbeing
