Role
This role will focus on developing sales across a growing portfolio of rice-based and functional ingredients, with a particular emphasis on healthy eating markets.
The successful candidate will manage and grow existing key accounts while proactively identifying new business opportunities. An understanding of ingredient functionality and food science is highly desirable due to the technical nature of the products.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop sales across a full portfolio of industrial food ingredients for designated accounts
• Deliver current and future business plans with major UK food manufacturers
• Provide accurate input into forecasting and commercial planning
• Build and maintain strong personal and business relationships with key customers
• Work closely with customer NPD teams and internal technical colleagues
• Produce and deliver agreed annual sales plans
• Hold full P&L responsibility for the account portfolio, including cost control and margin management
• Identify and develop new business opportunities
• Liaise with procurement and maintain effective contact with supply partners

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Account Manager within the UK food manufacturing sector
• Proven background in sales and account management
• Experience managing relationships with major UK food manufacturers
• Understanding of ingredient functionality and technical composition
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
• Excellent presentation skills with strong attention to detail
• Highly motivated, confident, and professional
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and networking skills
