Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with secondary schools in South Yorkshire to recruit a dedicated Secondary Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated teacher to lead and shape young people in education.
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Supply Teacher to work across a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Sheffield. This position is ideal for teachers who enjoy variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to make an impact in different school settings.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and ensuring continuity of learning for students in the absence of their regular teacher.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects or your specialist area
* Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere
* Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners, including those with SEN
* Follow school policies and provide feedback to department leads where required
* Build positive relationships with staff and students
Ideal Candidate
* QTS qualified or equivalent.
* A strong track record of teaching at KS3 and KS4 level.
* ECT’s are encouraged to apply too.
* Someone confident to work independently, with a proactive and forward-thinking mindset.
* A team player who can contribute to the wider school community and collaborate effectively with other departments.
* A commitment to inclusion and ambition for every learner, regardless of background or starting point.
