IPS EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST EMPLOYMENT AND SKILLS SERVICE, NOTTINGHAM, PERMANENT, 37HRS, A4C 5, £31,049 £37,796, FTE Are you a positive, proactive, and empathetic person who believes in the power of employment to transform lives? Framework is launching an exciting new pilot, bringing the internationally recognised Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model into Severe Multiple Disadvantage (SMD) services and were looking for someone exceptional to help make it a success. As an IPS Employment Specialist, youll work directly with people experiencing SMD who are unemployed, supporting them to find and sustain meaningful work. IPS is an evidence based approach proven to be the most effective method of helping people in treatment for substance use and mental health challenges move into employment. Youll provide person centred, strengths based advice and guidance, while also building strong relationships with local employers to create real job opportunities. Working closely with specialist SMD services, youll be part of a joined up, holistic approach to recovery where employment is a key part of someones journey forward. Full IPS training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Follow and apply the principles of the IPS model to deliver high-quality, evidence-based employment support Manage a caseload of around 20 participants within SMD support services, working with individuals motivated to start or return to work Work one-to-one with participants to explore their strengths, skills, aspirations, and goals, completing Vocational Profiles and developing personalised Action Plans Provide ongoing in-work support to both participants and employers to help sustain successful employment outcomes Identify and secure job opportunities through tailored job searches and proactive engagement with local employers Build strong relationships with colleagues across SMD services to generate referrals and promote employment as a key part of the recovery journey Act as an embedded IPS practitioner, supporting the integration of IPS within SMD services and attending team meetings to ensure a joined-up approach About You Highly motivated, with a strong belief that people experiencing SMD can and do succeed in paid employment Positive, engaging, and inspiring, with the ability to motivate others and instil confidence Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with a wide range of people A basic understanding of the IPS model (full training will be provided) Strong relationship-building skills, with an understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing SMD and a commitment to supporting their progress No two days in this role are the same its dynamic, varied, and deeply rewarding.
