Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Resourcing team as a Resourcing Coordinator. We are looking to recruit an administrator who is passionate about customer service and has an eye for attention to detail.

We are looking for the right person with the enthusiasm, expertise and skills to support recruiting managers

Key areas of responsibility for the role will include:

1. Supporting with administrative processes including arranging interviews and processing offers and contracts
2. Co-ordinating and administering pre-employment checks and clearances
3. Meeting targets and KPI's
4. Working close with an supporting the workload of the Resourcing Administrators

You will need to be used to carrying out an administration role in a fast paced environment, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and good administrative, IT and organisational skills.

The successful applicants would be based at Worthing hospital with occasional travel across all University hospitals Sussex Sites. Worthing offers a vibrant coastal lifestyle with a wide choice of restaurants and shops, all set against a backdrop of a beautiful beach.

We offer a hybrid working pattern of 4 days on site and 1 day working from home, adjusted to your part time pattern.

Main duties of the job

To provide a comprehensive recruitment service to Recruiting Managers, Employees, Applicants and Candidates, ensuring that recruitment is undertaken in a timely and professional way having regard for cost, quality and Trust policy.

To working closely with Recruiting Manager and Service Leads to deliver their workforce recruitment business plans.

To assist, develop and supervise the Resourcing Administrators to ensure KPI targets are met. With the support of the Resourcing Team Managers to manage the Resourcing Administrators informal absence including annual leave in line with Trust policies and procedures, whilst considering service needs.

Current UK immigration rules, which set specific salary and skill thresholds. As such, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this post. Applicants will therefore need to already have the right to work in the UK to be considered. If you do not meet the sponsorship requirements, and you are applying using a Graduate visa as your right to work, you must have a minimum of 18 months remaining on your visa at time of application.

Experience and Qualifiactions

Essential criteria

5. CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience
6. Good working and practical knowledge or range of recruitment approaches and their appropriateness for specific needs
7. Up to date knowledge of recruitment employment law and requirements for pre-employment screening including immigration, references and DBS
8. Previous experience in an NHS HR or recruitment environment
9. Knowledge of NHS Employment Standards

Desirable criteria

10. Knowledge of NHS terms and conditions for Staff
11. Experience of working in Recruitment/Resourcing
12. Worked as a recruiter in a complex organisation
13. Knowledge of Electronic Staff Records and E-Rec.

Skills

Essential criteria

14. Proven ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with all levels of staff both verbally and in writing
15. Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Packages; Word, Excel, Outlook)
16. Able to plan, prioritise, implement and meet targets in a complex and pressure environment, whilst producing accurate work
17. Proven ability to produce well-presented clear and accurate documents
18. Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and empathic skills
19. Experience of close working relationships with senior clinicians and senior managers
20. Evidenced customer service skills
21. Troubleshooting and ability to discover discrepancies and fraudulent references.
22. Able to calculate part time salaries and pro rata entitlements

23. Experience in a supervisory role

24. Works within HR policies and procedures, taking advice from Resourcing Operations Manager or Resourcing Team Managers as necessary, within recruitment work area, works on own initiative.
