SEND Support Assistant – Complex Needs (Sheffield)
Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available
We are currently recruiting SEND Support Assistants to work in specialist schools across Sheffield, supporting pupils with a range of complex medical and learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are dedicated, resilient, and confident in providing both educational and personal care support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to pupils with complex SEND
* Assist with medical needs under guidance (e.g., feeding, medication, mobility)
* Support with personal care, including toileting and hygiene routines
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with complex medical needs
* Comfortable with providing personal care
* A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Experience in SEND or specialist school settings
* Training in medication administration, moving and handling, or similar (desirable)
