Would you like to create the future of a product used by thousands of businesses and millions of consumers? Phorest Salon Software powers almost 10,000 hair and beauty salons in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, Finland, USA, Canada, UAE and Netherlands and the platform processes 7 million appointments a month for hair and beauty consumers. Phorest is the number 1 salon software brand for premium independent salons in those markets and our next goal is to become a platform upon which other companies can build applications for premium salons.
Our system touches every point of the salon experience. We have the in‑salon software desktop application, Phorest Go (the staff application), online bookings website for salons, and custom native apps per salon. In a typical month, Phorest processes 3 million appointments and we send over 3 million SMS and 4 million emails. We process 200k online bookings per month and over 150 custom built white‑label native apps.
What You’ll Do
* Define and own the Consumer strategic product roadmap, in collaboration with your Lead, for Phorest across all regions (USA, CAN, UK, IE, AUS, DACH, FI and UAE), ensuring it aligns with Phorests vision.
* Develop a thorough understanding of the Phorest company vision and strategic imperatives, commercial KPIs and how your pillar’s products impact these. Become a master user of the product and an expert on Marketing related features and use cases.
* Partner closely with Product Operations and Product Marketing to ensure the successful planning, launch, and adoption of Consumer product initiatives.
* Lead product discovery and delivery using modern product management practices — hypothesis testing, data validation, and MVP iteration — ensuring features tie directly to measurable customer and commercial outcomes.
* Maintain clear north‑star metrics and success criteria for every release, with transparent tracking and post‑launch learning loops.
* Own the steady‑state product performance monitoring, being accountable for the business impacts of your products, defining product KPIs and monitoring for mid to long‑term impact.
* Demonstrated ability to deeply understand the customer through structured discovery (interviews, salon visits, data analysis) and translate insights into validated problem statements that drive measurable outcomes.
* Comfortable distinguishing assumptions from evidence, using client feedback loops to inform product decisions.
* Actively meet with clients, stay current on trends and understand the needs of our clients and how salons work.
* Be the voice of the salon owner and their clients to drive the creation of the ideal client experience on behalf of salons.
* Provide easy‑to‑understand proposals or breakdowns of multifaceted problems to connect proposed work to clients’ problems or business opportunities.
* Engage teams and stakeholders with compelling opportunities and product vision, sharing details needed to understand value, impact and strategic fit.
* Be recognized as an evangelist for your products, inspire others, generating momentum behind the product vision, strategy, gaining alignment and building trust.
* Be a thought partner for your Product and Engineering peers, helping to improve the teams’ processes and joint prioritisation alignment.
* While this role does not have direct line management responsibilities, you will act as a mentor, developing product craft and commercial thinking within the wider product management team.
Who You Are
* 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably with experience in Marketing.
* Previous experience operating in agile development.
* The ability to independently manage senior stakeholders, drives cross‑functional alignment and builds trust through credibility.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills which create clarity for your audience, articulating the most important details and messaging in a manner appropriate for your audience.
* Ability to lead cross functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
* You use company and industry qualitative and quantitative data to drive data‑led decision making, using adoption, engagement, and monetisation metrics to inform direction, prioritise opportunities and validate outcomes.
* Expertise in assessing the level of risk vs. reward when making product recommendations and decisions. You can make recommendations and understand how best to test or validate these assessments.
* Experience setting and tracking key metrics/outcomes for the commercial success of your product, someone who connects roadmap decisions to company vision and commercial outcomes.
* Proven track record of leading through influence across cross‑functional squads (Design, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, GTM teams and Support), steering alignment through clarity and context rather than control.
* Seen as a bridge builder — energising peers, helping teams navigate ambiguity, and maintaining momentum behind shared goals.
* A can‑do attitude with a growth mindset and eagerness to continually learn and an advocate for coaching others in the product management craft.
* The ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy.
* Having worked in the hair and beauty industry, consumer products or mobile products is a plus.
