Health & Safety Lead (with Quality Oversight) Our Manufacturing client based in Sutton In Ashfield is seeking a experienced H&S individual to join their business on a permanent basis. Hours : The hours are 40 pw Mon to Fri 8am - 4.30pm (30 minute unpaid daily break) Salary: Up to £35k Permanent Mission Statement: To manage the day-to-day Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance. The role will lead continuous improvement initiatives, maintain ISO certifications, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting standardisation across the group. Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety (Primary Focus): Lead and maintain compliance with ISO 45001 standards. Ensure adherence to all relevant Health & Safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and implement corrective actions. Promote a proactive safety culture across the site. Deliver H&S training and toolbox talks as required.Quality & Environmental (Secondary Focus): Maintain and improve ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems. Conduct root cause analysis and respond to internal and external Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives across departments. Supervise and support customer and internal audits. Ensure all documentation is maintained and ready for submission to relevant bodies.Complaint Investigation & Resolution: Liaise with the Contracts Team to understand complaint context. Analyse production records and customer feedback. Conduct SCRA (Symptoms, Causes, Remedies, Actions) investigations. Provide traceability and resolution reports to stakeholders. Visit customer sites for investigations when necessary.Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop the Quality team. Conduct interviews, onboarding, performance reviews, and manage attendance. Handle disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with company policy. Collaborate with HR and Occupational Health as needed.Compliance & Documentation: Maintain calibration records and coordinate third-party testing. Ensure all compliance records are stored electronically and are audit-ready. Manage distribution and calibration of measuring equipment.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Quality Manager, Production Team, and Group H&S to ensure standardisation and best practices.
