Salary: £90 to £130 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school community in Ashington. This is more than a classroom support role, it’s about transforming lives, building confidence, and ensuring every child feels valued and understood.
What You Will Be Doing as an SEN TA:
* Providing tailored 1:1 or small‑group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
* Assisting with individual learning plans and differentiated classroom activities
* Supporting students with emotional regulation, communication, and social skills
* Helping create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
What We Are Looking For:
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, etc.)
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to helping young people
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
* A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt quickly to individual needs
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
