Job Title: Conveyancing Assistant Location: Bristol Job Type: Full-time | Office-based or Hybrid (depending on experience) Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role: A well-established law firm in Bristol is seeking an organised and proactive Conveyancing Assistant to support its busy residential property team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be confident handling a variety of administrative and client-facing duties. Key Responsibilities: * Supporting fee earners with all aspects of the conveyancing process. * Opening and closing client files, including AML checks and compliance procedures. * Drafting contracts, preparing completion statements, and requesting mortgage redemptions. * Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors. * Managing post-completion tasks such as SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications. * Maintaining accurate records and ensuring key dates and deadlines are met. * Handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner. Requirements: * Previous experience in a conveyancing or legal assistant role (preferred but not essential). * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with case management systems. * A team-player attitude with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
