Leads and manages the ship’s Casino Department, focusing on core functions including:
1. Casino operations
2. Achieving revenue and guest satisfaction targets
3. Maintaining compliance with gaming rules and regulations as per SQM
4. Building and maintaining relationships with Casino VIPs
5. Directing performance management of the Casino Staff
Hiring Requirements:
1. Two to five years of progressive managerial experience in a casino within an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise line (shipboard experience preferred)
2. Satisfactory completion of Gaming Board/Commission approved dealer school
3. Ability to manage financial aspects of a casino, including cost efficiencies and revenue growth through promotions and up-selling
4. Ability to manage headcount to support vessel operations
5. Strong management skills in a multicultural environment
6. Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
7. Superior customer service, team-building, and conflict resolution skills
8. Planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills
9. Intermediate computer skills
10. Understanding of basic accounting principles
11. Knowledge of customer service principles and evaluation techniques
12. Knowledge of HR policies and practices, including managing international staff and disciplinary processes
13. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred
