Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their order-winning team. Reporting to the Senior Bid Manager, this role is critical in supporting sales and the wider business by delivering commercially robust, compliant and competitive bid solutions.
You will take end-to-end ownership of opportunities from initial bid through to contract award and handover, managing complex commercial and contractual matters while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional bid teams including Sales, Legal, Finance, Procurement and Technical.
Develop and implement commercial strategies for project and aftermarket opportunities.
Identify, assess and manage commercial, contractual and financial risks.
Review, draft and negotiate contractual terms and conditions.
Provide commercial input into pricing, cost models and bid financials.
Ensure effective handover from bid to delivery with clear commercial obligations.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Support and mentor junior team members where required.
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts within oil & gas, power generation or energy sectors.
Background in commercial, sales, customer service or engineering roles.
Experience selling industrial or technical products or services.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, including FARs/DFARs and export controls.
Confident working with complex technical solutions and bid documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach to risk.
Highly organised with strong stakeholder management skills.
Proficient with CRM, ERP systems and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
