Eton Bridge Partners is working exclusively with a high-growth FTSE 250 IT services organisation to appoint their Commercial Finance Manager. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy and driving performance across a large, dynamic sales organisation. This is a senior, strategic role at the heart of the business — ideal for someone who thrives on partnering with leadership, influencing decision‑making, and elevating commercial performance.
Key responsibilities
* Act as a strategic finance partner, shaping commercial strategy and leading key leadership discussions
* Define the Commercial Finance operating model and elevate standards across the function
* Own the sales P&L, driving accountability and strong financial performance
* Lead strategic planning supported by robust financial insight
* Co‑lead sales performance reviews and set direction for the organisation
* Drive the sales performance narrative, turning analysis into clear recommendations
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning for sales
* Prioritise across strategic initiatives, operational delivery and senior ad hoc needs
* Advise on major investment decisions within the sales organisation
* Represent Commercial Finance in leadership forums, including regular CFO engagement
* Develop and mentor analysts and future leaders
* Provide strong oversight, challenge and direction on team analysis
Candidate profile
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is desirable
* At least 6-8 years’ experience in a Commercial Finance or FP&A role
* Proven experience using strategic planning frameworks to shape commercial direction
* Strong track record of leading teams and developing senior talent
* Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into clear financial frameworks
* Demonstrated ability to influence executive‑level decision‑making
