We're building a team of passionate, energetic individuals ready to help shape the future of entertainment — and we're looking for a Duty Manager who's ready to take the lead.
The Role
As Duty Manager, you'll be the go-to leader on shift, ensuring that all areas of the venue; from gaming zones and simulators to the merch store, run smoothly. You'll oversee staff, deliver top-tier customer service, maintain operational standards, and respond quickly to any issues. Key Responsibilities
Operations & Venue Management
* Take ownership of the venue during your shifts, ensuring smooth and safe operations across all departments concerned: gaming areas, simulators, retail, and reception.
* Maintain a clean, welcoming, and high-functioning environment for guests and staff.
* Monitor and report on daily revenue, cash handling, and shift performance.
Team Leadership
* Lead, support, and motivate team members across departments.
* Manage shift scheduling, breaks, and staff coverage to ensure peak performance.
* Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development.
* Conduct regular check-ins, provide feedback, and escalate performance concerns when necessary.
Customer Experience
* Ensure guests receive exceptional service and memorable experiences throughout the venue.
* Proactively handle and resolve customer feedback or complaints with professionalism and care.
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and vibrant atmosphere for players, fans, and casual visitors.
Maintenance, Security & Safety
* Oversee the safety and security of the venue during your shifts.
* Coordinate with security personnel when needed to handle incidents.
* Schedule and monitor cleaning and maintenance routines to keep the venue operating at a high standard.
Admin & Reporting
* Contribute to departmental budget planning, goal setting, and performance tracking.
* Collaborate with senior management to review and improve processes and policies.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing, and company regulations.
Qualifications:
· Work experience as a Duty Manager or similar management role
· Customer service experience
· Knowledge of cash management and bookkeeping procedures
· Team management skills
· Strong organisational skills
· Experience with facilities maintenance and/or security
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends, weekdays and evenings
