* Salary: £27.5K per annum increasing with experience
* Hours: Full-time, 9am-5:30pm Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends)
* Reporting To: Managing Director
* Travel: Frequent travel required (vehicle TBD)



About Robinsons Cider

Robinsons Cider is a sixth-generation fine cider maker based in North Herefordshire producing premium quality draft and bottled ciders using traditional methods and unsprayed, heritage apple varieties from standard orchards. We are a small family business on a mission to redefine quality in the on-trade cider category and beyond by making exceptional cider that would make our ancestors proud.



Position Overview

We are now entering an exciting phase of growth and are seeking a talented and highly motivated Sales and Account Manager to join our business. This role focuses on driving revenue growth by acquiring new accounts as well as managing and developing existing customer relationships. We are looking to increase sales of kegged cider in our heartland territory and, for the first time, expand into adjacent areas. We are also looking to grow distribution of our bottled ciders into the off-trade. The candidate will be responsible for executing this strategy whilst ensuring exceptional account management, helping Robinsons Cider to reach to the next stage of its development.

This role is perfect for someone passionate about high quality cider and high quality service, who wants a key role in a small but growing family business that lies at the heart of the craft cider movement, with authentic products that people really love.




Key Responsibilities



New Sales:

Objective: To increase revenue by acquiring new accounts.

* Robinsons Flagon Cider in kegs: acquire new accounts in:
* Our existing heartland: Herefordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, the Black Country, the Welsh Borders and parts of Gloucestershire
* New territory: Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Bristol and the Cotswolds as we open up a new distributor relationship in Summer 2025.
* Robinsons bottled ciders:
* Acquire new off-trade accounts within our local distribution area (15 miles from Little Hereford)
* Work with our distributor to acquire new accounts further afield in the West Midlands and the Cotswolds (farm shops, delis, bottle shops, restaurants etc)

Responsibilities:

* Identify new leads, both by yourself and working closely with our distribution partners
* Develop and manage our sales pipeline, from lead generation and qualification through to closed sales
* Conduct sales meetings, manage customer onboarding and new installs
* Keep our database up to date with the latest sales and customer information



Account Management:

Objective: Develop relationships with existing accounts and ensure Robinsons Cider is well represented in each account.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct regular account check-ins to:
* Ensure that the Robinsons Cider brand is being represented to the highest possible standard at the point of sale
* Maintain and develop strong personal relationships with accounts to encourage partnership and growth
* Gather industry intelligence
* Help distribute point of sale material and glassware
* Be the point of contact for any account related questions
* Work with customers, the cellar technician and distributor to resolve any cellar related problems and faulty kegs
* Work with customers to support Robinsons marketing initiatives, social media collaborations etc.
* Conduct tastings and training sessions at pubs and other customer venues
* Represent Robinsons Cider at events, tastings, customer training sessions and in-store promotions (occasional evenings and weekends)
* Monitor the monthly sales data and report on Robinsons overall sales performance



Database Management:

Objective: To own and manage our database to effectively keep on top of customer information.

Responsibilities:

* Keep our database up to date with all customer information, interactions and sales leads



Desirable Skills and Experience

* Experience in sales or customer-facing roles is preferable, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* The ability to build trust and relationships quickly.
* A passion for craft drinks (cider is a bonus).
* Knowledge of the hospitality and drinks industry, particularly within pubs or small retailers.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. The candidate must be a self-starter who can be trusted to operate with independence but work closely with and report to the Managing Director.
* Basic computer and smart phone skills required to manage simple spreadsheets and online databases.
* Clean driving license and willingness to travel regularly for sales meetings and events.
