About Our Client

Job Description
The Financial Accountant will have a wide range of duties supporting the month and year-end tasks of the finance team. Responsibilities include:
* Setting up project job numbers, monitoring budget changes, and obtaining client approval for budgets and changes.
* Reviewing budgets before submission to clients to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
* Ensuring adherence to the client's financial and contractual practices.
* Performing complete and accurate reconciliations of budgets in a timely manner, collaborating with Project Managers.
* Raising and distributing sales invoices to clients.
* Reviewing aged debtors and liaising with clients regarding overdue invoices.
* Preparing commission invoices.
* Conducting due diligence to minimise bad debt exposure.
* Posting payments, setting up urgent supplier and staff expense payments.
* Preparing weekly cash flow forecasts for senior management.
* Completing quarterly VAT returns.
* Reviewing profit margins monthly.
* Preparing month-end reports such as bank reconciliations, GL reconciliations, and project cost reports.
* Maintaining detailed records and preparing reports for senior management and project teams.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal Financial Accountant will possess:
* Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* Proficiency in managing large data sets and preparing detailed reports.
* Fundamental accounting knowledge (journal entries, debits, credits) and experience with job cost recording and reconciliations.
* Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
* Capacity to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Excel.
* Good understanding of VAT regulations.
