Job description Activities Assistant Are you someone who has the passion and wants to embrace the role of an Activities Assistant? Ingham House is a well-established, family run nursing home in the Lower Meads area in Eastbourne. We are looking for an Activities assistant. Being a team player is an essential part of these roles. You must be someone who enjoys the daily challenges that a busy nursing home has to offer. You will need a DBS check prior to starting. We are looking for people who are kind and compassionate. Positive and resilient. Proactive and organised. Honest and accountable. Passionate and keen to develop. If this sounds like you, youll fit right in. You dont need experience to become an Activities Assistant, just good written and verbal communication and IT skills. A working knowledge of health and safety legislation, and a Level 2 (QCF) Supporting Activities Provision in Social Care is a big advantage, but not essential. These are part time positions, 25 hours per week, 5 days over the 7-day week. Weekend working will be on a rota basis. Activities Assistant Role to include: Supporting the Coordinator in the delivery of a planned activity programme. Supporting service users to access the activities with care, kindness and thoughtfulness.
