About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded HR Business Partner to join our client on a part‑time basis (2 days a week). This is both a strategic and hands‑on role, ideal for someone who can confidently lead a people agenda while providing practical guidance to managers and teams.
You will be the senior HR voice in the business, responsible for ensuring that they remain compliant, aligned, and well‑equipped to attract, develop, and engage the team. The ideal candidate will bring structure, clarity, and a proactive mindset to a fast‑moving, growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Advise leadership on people strategy, workforce planning, and organisational design. Identifying HR priorities and delivering solutions
2. Support the development of a strong, values‑led culture
3. Provide guidance on performance, conduct, capability, and wellbeing matters.
4. Coach managers and the SLT
5. Handle complex employee relations issues with discretion
6. Partner on recruitment processes and ensure strong hiring practices and helping with contracts and onboarding and off boarding
7. Support talent and succession planning activities
8. Maintain HR policies, processes, and documentation and ensure compliance with UK employment law
9. Oversee payroll inputs and maintain accurate HR records
10. Support performance management cycles and development initiatives
About You
We’re looking for an experienced HR generalist who is confident operating both strategically and hands‑on. You’ll thrive in fast‑paced, scaling environments and bring sound judgement, strong communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously. You’re someone who is comfortable advising leaders, navigating complex people matters, and building trusted relationships at all levels.
What You Bring
11. Significant HR experience at Senior HR Manager or HRBP level
12. Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
13. Experience supporting managers and handling complex ER cases
14. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery
15. Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and decision‑making skills
16. Experience working in small or scaling businesses (highly desirable)
