CNC ProgrammerWe are currently recruiting for a CNC Programmer to join our Portadown based client, a growing manufacturing business.The successful CNC Programmer will support manufacturing through offline CNC programming across 3, 4 and 5 axis machines using CAM software, and develop machining strategies for materials including aluminium and titanium.Key ResponsibilitiesOffline CNC programming of components on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines using CAM softwareResponsible for selecting efficient tooling packages for each componentWork with tooling manufacturers to introduce the latest tooling technology and strategies to the businessDevelop machining strategies for cutting various materials such as aluminium and titaniumCreating process booklets and work instructions for machine set up and tool assemblyDesign fixtures and work holding devices for componentsUpdate ERP systems with all relevant information for each componentWork closely with Production and Quality departments to improve current manufacturing methods, driving down machining and labour costsAid Marketing and Sales teams by designing manufacturing concepts for potential projects and assisting with quotationsLiaise with external programming sub contractors to deliver programs on time and within customer specificationEssential CriteriaThird level engineering or related qualificationExperience in the use of CAM software, for example Mastercam or similarKnowledge of CNC machining strategies and processesDesirableExperience in the manufacture of hard metalsExperience using various NC languages, for example Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain etcSalary is dependant upon experience and in the region of £45-50k.For further information please email your CV through the link.By applying for this role you are consenting to Energis Recruitment holding your details for a period of 12 months to be considered for other roles.
