GSL Education are recruiting a dependable Cover Supervisor to assist schools in Sheffield, supporting learners across the S5 and S9 postcode areas during teacher absence. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will deliver pre-prepared lessons, maintain a focused learning environment, and keep students on task. This role suits someone who enjoys working with young people and adapts easily to different classrooms. Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher. Deliver lesson instructions clearly using provided resources. Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines. Support students with their learning and encourage engagement. Report back on student progress and behaviour as required. Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to remain calm and adaptable in varied situations. A professional and responsible approach to safeguarding. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
