What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you’ll lead procurement activity across a portfolio of major projects within a nationally significant infrastructure programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading complex procurement strategies and sourcing activities for large-scale capital projects
2. Managing supplier selection, tender processes, and commercial negotiations
3. Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and supply chain partners
4. Ensuring procurement activity complies with Procurement Act 2023 and governance frameworks
5. Developing strong category and market insight to drive best value and mitigate risk
6. Supporting contract performance alongside commercial teams post-award
7. Mentoring colleagues and contributing to continuous improvement across the procurement function
What you’ll bring
You’ll be a commercially minded procurement professional with experience delivering results within large infrastructure, construction, or capital delivery environments.
Ideally you will have:
8. CIPS Level 5 (MCIPS preferred) or a degree in procurement, supply chain, or a related field
9. Strong experience delivering procurement strategies within major projects or programmes
10. Knowledge of Procurement Act 2023 / PCR2015 / UCR2016
11. Experience working with NEC4 contracts
12. Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
13. The ability to manage multiple complex procurement projects simultaneously
14. Strong analytical and project management capability
Experience within utilities or other regulated sectors would be advantageous.
