With a strong brand, a loyal customer base, and a genuine passion for quality, they are now looking for a dynamic Production Manager to help drive their next phase of expansion.\n\nIf you're ready to make your mark in a fast-paced, values-led business where your ideas and leadership will shape the future, this is the opportunity for you.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nManage and oversee daily roasting operations, ensuring consistency in coffee quality and production efficiency.\nDevelop and implement roasting schedules, ensuring optimal stock levels of raw and roasted coffee.\nSupervise automated and manual packaging lines, allocating labour efficiently to meet demand.\nLead, train, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of high performance, safety, and accountability.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant industry certifications and food safety standards (HACCP, Fairtrade, Organic).\nTake ownership of stock control, conducting regular inventory checks and minimizing waste.\nOversee equipment maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to prevent downtime.\nIdentify process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.\nMonitor and manage operational costs, working within budgets to ensure profitability.\nCollaborate with internal teams to coordinate production schedules and meet customer demand.\nSupport business growth, contributing to strategic planning for increased capacity and efficiency. \n\nSkills & Experience\n\nSkills and personal qualities considered to be essential to the role are:\n\nProven leadership skills, with experience managing production teams.\nBackground in food production, manufacturing, or coffee roasting (desirable).\nStrong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to process improvement.\nTechnical knowledge of industrial food processing or roasting equipment (mechanical/electrical skills highly desirable).\nUnderstanding of ERP systems and production planning software.\nExceptional attention to detail, ensuring high product and operational standards.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to business growth and evolving demands \n\nRemuneration \n £40,000 - £42,000 depending on experience, plus benefits,\n\nWant to recruit a similar role?\n\nCast UK is a leading executive consultancy, providing national recruitment solutions to both clients and candidates.
