Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller for a company based in Wallington to oversee the financial operations and manage a small team. This senior leadership role is responsible for financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong background in group-level financial management, leadership, and commercial acumen. This is a 12 month maternity cover to start immediately and will be 5 days a week in the office.
Duties will include:-
Responsibilities of the Group Financial Controller Role:-
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
* Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes
* Provide variance analysis and financial insights to senior leadership
* Drive improvements in financial planning tools and methodologies
* Ensure compliance tax, and regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions
* Strengthen internal controls and implement financial policies and procedures.
* Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
* Lead and mentor finance team
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
* Collaborate closely with CFO and senior leadership
Requirements of the Group Financial Controller Role:-
* Ideally ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
* Hands on Managerial experience
* Highly organised and driven
* Proven track record of reviewing processes and implementing and driving change
* Hands on, happy to help with month end as well as the more detailed FP&A work
* Advanced Excel skills
* Exceptional communication skills to present to the Board
